Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa, Col. Sam Inokoba(retd) is currently under fire over alleged involvement in diversion of N70million provided by the Minster of Petroleum Resources,Mrs. Dezianne Allison- Madueke to support the party at the hosting of the Presidential campaign rally in the State last Friday.
We gathered that Inokoba was accused of allegedly diverting N40million out of the N70million provided for the Party as well as benefitting from the remaining N30million unknown to the members of the State Working Committee of the Party.
The move to remove the Party Chairman according to some members of PDP caucus in the state is already creating tension among his loyalists and aides of the State Governor,Hon. Seriake Dickson.
It was gathered that those calling for the removal of the PDP chairman, attributed the collapse of the chairman during the Presidential rally to the pressure created over the alleged fund diversion.
Efforts to get the State PDP Publicity Secretary,Barr.Osom Macgbere and the Personal Media Aide to the Party Chairman,Mr. Nelson to react to the allegations was not successful at press time. They failed to respond to text messages nor telephone calls.
Our correspondent also learnt that the plot to remove the Party chairman has received the endorsement of the State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson. The Governor is also said to be at logger heads with Inokoba since after the party primaries in the state.
